Here recently, I've been getting a lot of sign up from clients that aren't getting high click-thru and conversion rates on their featured Facebook Ads. What Gives?
Well, boosted ads are meant for people who don't have the background to create custom developer ads or campaigns. They are simplified ads featuring minimal "targeting" and keyword preferences that put your ads in front of people who have those keywords thru their profile or they have been searching these keywords.
We have been accustomed to the strategic placing of these ads within our news feed, and I think we inadvertently skip over them-- Like DVR for Facebook! We know how to skip commercials! That means people aren't seeing your ads or skipping over them! #impressions
So, what does a successful campaigns even look like?
The answer varies business per business. I see posts from other marketing companies-- "My Clients ad had a "Reach" of 800 views!! 7500 views!!"
Sorry, I'm not impressed. That's not my "go-to" metric. I don't think you should even consider "Reach" as a quantifiable metric. I don't care how many people have seen it-- I want to know who did something WITH it!
I want post clicks and engagement because that moves your business. That is true lead generation. I have clients who consider 1 or 2 leads a successful campaign. I have some start-up clients that will take any and all contact information that comes through these ads.
