Highest Converting Website Features

Updated: Dec 29, 2018

I can tell you that most of my new clients that built a website or had a website developed for their business, less than 20% have ever updated, changed out content or tested their website.

Most clients do not know how to read metrics, and they don't have any clue how to access analytics.

Mobile Optimization? We don't even make it that far in the conversation.

This is MIND-BLOWING!

It's argued that a prospective client will be give you between 3-8 seconds before they bounce back to Google or find relevant content somewhere else.

Not on page 1 of #Google? Forget about even connecting with clients.

Take a look at the bounce rate per industry if your messaging and branding is unclear:

What does your website say in the first 3 seconds?

Are your graphics loading fast enough? Is your brand and messaging clear and concise?

Tips for High Conversion on Your Website:

  • The landing page should clearly explain the purpose of your business, and business with you looks different than working with your competitor

  • Anticipate your prospective client questions and needs: create a user experience on your site that's easy to navigate and provides answers to questions before they ask

  • Adding streamlined headlines and engaging graphics that are optimized

  • Allow feedback-- create a light box or any means to collect data from your audience to grow your business or simplify problem areas you might not be aware of (Qualaroo is a great product to collect feedback!)

  • Evaluate metrics-- what pages are your prospects spending the most time?

  • User Experience- the utility and functionality of your website features may not be attractive! Try moving around a button, add a pop-up or move around headlines/sections for a better overall experience

  • Mobile Optimization-- making sure your website functions on all smartphones can potentially double your conversion

  • Conversation-- ask a trusted business friend to work through your website. Do they have suggestions? Are you missing something from your website? Good ole fashion feedback can go a long way to improve your site
